Hello, Terry! Thanks for providing guidelines for identity theft. I am retired and received a letter from IDES.
Please advise if I need to contact my banks, where I have accounts, about this, or if I need to do in regards to my accounts to protect my monies.

That should take care of everything — and will keep anyone from opening new credit in your name.
But yes, you should be watching your own accounts securely online.
