Ask Terry Questions IDES MEUC Program

IDES MEUC Program

By Terry Savage on February 01, 2021 | Wild Card

Terry,

Do you know when IDES will implement The MEUC Program authorized by the CARES act?

The latest from IDES was back in late December. The Program runs out in Mid march, yet it has not been put in place by IDES as of 1/30/21

Can you use your inside sources to get an answer? Haven’t heard a peep about this in 30 days

Illinois also plans to adopt the Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) program, which addresses mixed-income earners who have self-employment income but are disqualified from receiving PUA. MEUC will mark the 6th federal unemployment program IDES has stood up this year.

I can’t use my IDES contacts because they have stopped speaking to me — likely based on all my criticisms!

BUT, given the total mess they are in — including still demanding money back from PUA recipients (not required any longer but they won’t stop) and difficulties getting extended benefits (mandated by the latest stimulus bill in December) AND people not getting the extra $300/week (mandated by the same stimulus bill), I am guessing that they will never get around to your issue!!
