IDES -Receipt 1099G
I have tried to login to IDES and my password is not being accepted. I click on email a reset and never receive the email. I have not been able to get help from IDES. Any suggests for getting my
1099g? I love listening to you on WGN720. I have heard you a lot with John Williams. Also bought your book and gave a copy to my daughter. Very helpful. I appreciate any help you can offer.

This is a tough one! I have received many similar questions from people who cannot get into IDES to get their 1099G forms.
I even sent an email to the director of the agency, but of course have not received a response! Nothing new!!
Here’s what their website says as a backup plan:
If you would like to request an additional copy of your 1099-G form to be mailed to your address on file, please contact (800) 244-5631. Follow the prompts to schedule a callback in the correct 1099-G queue
And that will probably take a long time too!! Do it immediately. And, if you don’t ever get your 1099, check your bank deposits from unemployment, add them up –and use that number. Believe me, if you’re wrong, the IRS will contact you and you can explain then!
