IDES Received debit card
Not a question. Just a huge thank you for information regarding the IDES fraud cards.
I am a retiree that received a card. Knew it was a scam but still appreciate all the advice you provided on your website.
I have called IDES but I expect hell to freeze over before I get called back.

Well, before hell freezes over, please go and freeze your credit report!
Read this column, and use the links to all 3 bureaus to freeze your report.
As well, take a look at “recent inquiries” to see if any banks made an inquiry because it could signal that someone opened a new bank account in your name. Those don’t show up on credit reports, but inquiries do!
