Whew — that’s a really broad question. First, she MUST have Medicare. But does she have traditional Medicare with a supplement? Or does she have a Medicare Advantage program. YOu’ll have to do some digging to find out exactly what kind of health insurance she has.

Of course, even the programs above have some limitations. For example, they do not cover “custodial care” — outside a hospital or skilled nursing setting. So if you need that kind of coverage, you must pay a fortune, OR see if she qualifies (by lack of assets and low income) for the State Medicaid program.
