Independent Contractors & Covid Stimulus
How can independent contractors who do not have payroll set up get some Covid stimulus relief money? I serve schools and have no work since everything is shut down. I tried for PPP but without payroll, I was ineligible.

Well, since you file taxes you should get a $1200 stimulus payment deposited to your account. And if you are a self-employed independent contractor you will soon be able to file for unemployment. The portal in Illinois for self-employed to file is opening next week.
