Interest on t bills
Will I receive a 1099 from treasury direct? I took your suggestion and have been buying t bills every month.

Yes, in January you’ll get an email telling you to check your TreasuryDirect mailbox. There you’ll find a 1099 reflecting all interest earned on T-bills that MATURED in 2025. One that mature in 2026 will be on next year’s 1099. Remember, you’ll owe Federal, but not state income taxes on that interest.
