Interest Rate cuts and the stock market
Why does the stock market tank when the fed cuts interest rates? Thank you.

Usually lower rates are good for stocks. But what happened earlier in this week was that the Fed chairman signaled that they are close to the END of rate-cutting. The stock market had expected more cuts — and traders were very disappointed. Subsequently there was a rebound, so we will have to see how this plays out.
