Investing for 14 year old

By Terry Savage on January 06, 2022 | Investments

Grandson 14 wants to start saving/investing. He asked about Roth. Not sure what he should do. Any suggestions.
Thanks Randy

Terry Says

Since he does not have “earned income” he cannot have an IRA of any time. But it’s nice to see a young person interested in investing. The place to get started is www.Stockpile.com, where you can gift him small amounts of money to buy fractions of shares in companies he is interested in You should be custodian of this account, not the parents, so it won’t impact future financial aid for college.
