investing my Social Security if starting early

If I were to take my Social security at age 62 (Im 61 now) and invested the money in my mutual fund, wouldnt it make more since than waiting until age 70? I had always thought it was best to wait, but after thinking it through Im not sure.( My income around $35,000)benefits at 62 $1155
before reduction for working

Terry Says

Absolutely NOT.  Do NOT take SS before Full Retirement Age (67 for you) — and if you can wait until age 70, even better.
