Ask Terry Questions IRA and HSA

IRA and HSA

By Terry Savage on November 13, 2023 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I have some funds in an IRA, can I move them to my husband’s HSA? Any benefits to this?

Terry Says

No, you cant, really shouldn’t. You’ll have to pay ordinary income taxes (and a 10% penalty if you’re under age 59-1/2) if you withdraw money from an IRA.
