Ask Terry Questions IRA for my daughter

IRA for my daughter

By Terry Savage on October 31, 2025 | Wild Card

I’m worried that my daughter is not saving for her future. She’s 31 years old and does not have a 401(k) or IRA in her name. How can I get this, or another savings plan started for her since she is dragging her feet! She’s currently working as a waitress, but her fiancé is an IT professional on salary. Thank you! Respectfully,

Well, go online to Amazon.com and buy a copy of The Savage Truth on Money. It is written for her!
And while you’re there, buy a copy of The New Love Deal: Everything You Must Know Before Marrying, Moving In or Moving On. I co-authored that book with a divorce attorney and divorce court judge.

Daughters rarely listen to their mothers –unil later when you can say I told you so.
So maybe she will listen to me. Or her fiance.
