How does one go about finding a reputable person to appraise and buy inherited jewelry including diamonds and expensive watches.

That’s a tough one. If you’re in Chicago, or the area, I would suggest going to Leslie Hindman auctioneers. They will appraise, and help you sell them at auction. As for watches, Sotheby’s is the global go-to place if the watches are “significant.” Check out this link to be really impressed!
