Liquid Funds – Retirement
Hi Terry,
I am 65 years old and semi retired (working part time) not collecting SS benefits yet….recently I read an article that stated that if you have the funds you should keep expenses equal to 4-5 years of liquid funds in a high yield savings account because of market volatility. Are you in agreement? Is there another FDIC insured fund that I should keep those funds? We have 2M with Edward Jones in various T-bills, Roths and other EJ managed funds. Thank you!

I think you might benefit from a review of your holdings — from a fee-only FIDUCIARY advisor. That advisor could discuss an income plan, as well as asset allocation.
