Medallion Signature Guarantee
I’m trying to move my IRA at Primerica to Vanguard. Primerica requires a Medallion signature guarantee (MSG) for this. My bank is Chase, but they are unwilling to do it for this transfer between companies. I do not qualify for the Vanguard program to get an MSG. Where can I get an MSG if I am not a current customer?

I’m surprised at that demand. Please write back to the email you receive saying your question was answered. Include your telephone number. I’ll call you and maybe get on a conference call with Primerica. So make sure you have the contact info of the person you talked there who demanded this guarantee, any written responses they sent you, and also the account number.
Most IRA custodians allow you to initiate a rollover online.

So unless there is something you left out, perhaps that this is an inherited IRA, or some other unusual fact, they shouldn’t be making you jump through hoops.
