Medicare

Hi Terry, I want you to know you are THE BEST!

I have my Mom (71) in Traditional Medicare A/B and Supplemental G through United AARP. I have a decent understand the differences between traditional and Advantage.

I’m very confused on how to get her dental and vision! Do I have to switch to an Advantage plan or is there supplemental dental/vision while staying in Traditional.

Many thanks!

Sorry for the delay in responding. I’m doing my best to catch up before the end of the year — tonight!

There is no additional coverage for dental and vision in traditional Medicare. But moving to Medicare advantage (that change period is over for this year) has lots of disadvantages and limitations. I think in general she would be better off staying in her traditional Medicare and supplement — and maybe as her daughter you can help with those extra bills.
