Medicare Advantage

By Terry Savage on December 01, 2021 |

Hi Terry,
My husband is an American Airlines retiree . His buyout for health insurance was $0 premium for both of us. I am starting Medicare in December, my husband in January. The no cost insurance is United Healthcare Advantage PPO. I know you said to stay away from advantage plans, is this one to stay away from? Not sure what to do.
Thank you in advance,

It’s hard to beat no-cost — But check to see that your preferred hospitals and doctors are included, that there is zero cost for not only your primary doctors, but specialists. And that you can easily be referred to a specialist. And that there is not a huge cost for out-of-network specialists. That’s how you compare. Or since you have such an unusual plan opportunity, consider the one-time $600 cost of a session with the pros at www.65incorporated.com, who will deal with each issue specifically and give great advice on what to do!
