Ask Terry Questions Medicare fraud

Medicare fraud

By Terry Savage on January 06, 2026 | Wild Card

My husband has been charged on his Medicare account for intermittent catheters at the cost of $12,000 over two separate claims. After the first claim, I notified Medicare of the fraud but they still allow the charges to be paid against his Medicare number. The company is Carebridge Innovations,LLC at Coral Springs, FL. No one answers or returns a phone call from that company. Others are complaining about this same fraud on the internet very recently. My question is should he file for a new Medicare number? So many healthcare companies have had security breaches, I feel this is a result of those breaches. I contacted the Justice Department but this is probably just a drop in the bucket to them. Medicare doesn’t care, they just keep paying the claims.

I know how you feel. I have a file of my own labeled Medicare Fraud because it happened to me from some Texas company I never heard of.
It’s important that you reported it to Medicare and tried to get the name of the person you spoke with. They won’t email you so there’s no way to keep a “paper trail.” But I’d call again every 6 months to remind them and keep a record of those calls. You’re allowed to tape them!
