Missing Federal Tax Refund
I am a 75 year old widow and e- filed my return on March 25 and I have not received my refund. The IRS website says it is being processed but 60 days is an unreasonable period of time. Can you help?

They will automatically give you interest on the money that should have been refunded. But that’s not the big issue.
I take it you already have an IRS account. Did you sign up for direct deposit of your refund? If so, did you check with your bank? Are you sure you gave the correct bank routing information?
“still being processed” doesn’t sound like a banking error, but I can’t think of another reason for the delay.
I’d give them another 6 weeks, and then call. If you get stuck and can’t get through, send me an email in response to the email you get saying “your question has been answered.”
