Misuse of Personal Information
I have BCBS of Il. and Conduent who manages info on behalf of BCBS had a personal information breach. They are offering a 12 month identity monitoring plan with Kroll Monitoring free of charge. However Kroll needs SSN information. How do you feel about using this free service? I already have a security freeze with the 3 credit reporting agencies and I have credit card activity notifications.

Well, Kroll is the absolute leader in the field of security, so I wouldn’t worry about giving them my SS number. Just don’t sign anything that requires you to start paying for the service when the free first year is up. Sounds like you are well-protected already.
