Hi Terry, we’ve just begun a VA cash out refi application and haven’t locked in a rate. Under the current conditions (fed rate hikes and the current housing market ), do you think we should lock now or wait a little?

That’s a big speculation. There’s a $31 trillion government bond market trading every day based on the outlook for interest rates. Eventually rates will come down (but the Fed says it will push short-term rates up again this month!) This isn’t a really great time to do a refi. Can it wait until you see if the Fed is done after this one??
