Mortgage refi on a farm

By Terry Savage on December 14, 2020 | Housing / Real Estate

We are farmers and have a 2 year old 30 year mortgage with First National Bank at 4.75%. My husband still farms and I am retired. I was still working when we got the mortgage. Now they won’t refinance. I think I heard you say on WGN that big banks may not want to work with self employed people. Who would you suggest that may be more amenable to refinancing for us? We have not missed a payment. Thank you for your advice.

Contact my favorite mortgage person — Leslie Struthers at Guaranteed Rate. (Leslie@rate.com) If anyone can do it, she can! You can use my name, or not — as I get nothing out of this recommendation.
