My spouse’s social security benefit after my death
Good afternoon Terry, I am currently receiving a civil service pension after retiring from the U.S. postal service. After my death my wife will be receiving 55% of my pension. My question is will this affect her social security benefit in any way? Will she still collect 100% of her benefit plus 55% of my pension? All of her earnings were based in the private sector.
