Need Health insurance

By Terry Savage on April 19, 2021 | Wild Card

I currently have no health insurance I had insurance for 33 years I do have another job but I don’t qualify for health insurance with them I am currently looking for a job with health insurance but I can’t count on that what’s the best thing to do to get Private health insurance short term. Some of the policies I looked at on the government website the lowest one was six hundred and some odd dollars a month that’s crazy with an $8,000 deductible. Help thank you

OK, a couple of thoughts.
You can buy a one-year short-term health insurance policy and get covered immediately. The drawback is that if you are diagnosed with a serious condition or illness, they will not renew it next year. This is like the old days of “prexisting conditions” that kept people from getting coverage.

The second thought is that the “Obamacare” provisions have been liberalized in the past few months of the new administration, with lower costs.

But the way to really compare –and they will help you search for BOTH short-term policies and Affordable Care Act policies is to contact eHealth.com. Here is a direct link to the page with short-term policies. But do call them and ask them to search the ACA (Obamacare) policies and help you decide. There is no extra charge for this service and they are not commissioned.
