no refund and no stimulus

By Terry Savage on March 25, 2021 | Wild Card

I filed my 2019 return was filed, last year; but hasn’t been processed. I haven’t received my refund, last year’s stimulus or this round of stimulus funds. what can I do?

Terry Says

OK, info and two separate sets of instructions.
First, it’s not surprising that you haven’t received your revund. The IRS says it hopes to get all 2019 refunds out by mid-summer!
Now, to get the first two stimulus payments — the original $1200 and January’s $600, you have to file your 2020 return (preferably elctronicaly and with banking info on it) and claim those two original stimulus payments on Line 30. Read
this article for directions.
The current $1400 should arrive shortly without doing anything, IF you qualified based on income on your 2019 return.
