Obtaining credit report
Hello – saw your segment this morning. Will requesting a free copy of my credit report(s) negatively affect my credit score in any way? Thank you!

No, not at all! Go to www.AnnualCreditReport.com. READ your report at at last one of the three bureaus. Look for “inquiries’ into your report. If you see one from a bank, call that bank! Since bank accounts don’t show up on credit reports, that inquiry may be the tipoff that someone used your info to open a new account!
Then put a freeze on your credit at all three bureaus!
