I have 10 shares of stock that is almost 40 years old and it’s from first Chicago corporation I know that it has merged three times it is now for Chicago Bank can you tell me where I can claim my money I want to sell these I would really appreciate it thank yo
How do I sell my 40-year-old 10 shares of stock and should I be getting past due dividends

Terry Says

Do you have the actual certificates, and are they made out in your name? If so, check the date on the certificates, which will determine the cost basis if you sell them.
First though, you need to make a copy of the certificate — front and back — and send the COPY to the transfer agent. Here is a link that will get you to the transfer agent.
