Pension –worth working longer?
Is it worth working for another 5 years at age 70 to get a minimum pension from cook county school district

I don’t know how the Cook County school district pension works, how much additional money you receive for working longer. And I don’t know your life situation — whether you love your work, or hate it, how much money you have in savings, how much you need to keep up your standard of living.
And I wish I knew an expert in those pension rules, which are specific to your employer. Perhaps the HR department can refer you to someone who understands the tradeoffs.
