Permitted earnings while on SSDI

By Terry Savage on June 06, 2026 | Wild Card

I’m sorry to bother you with this, but I’m confused by what I find online.
Is it correct that I can work and earn earn up to $1,690/month without risking my SSDI benefits? I’m not blind.
Thank you!

Terry Says

In 2026, the Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA) limit is $1,690 per month for non-blind individuals and $2,830 per month for individuals who are blind.
Trial Work Period (TWP): In 2026, any month you earn more than $1,210 counts toward your 9-month Trial Work Period, allowing you to test your ability to work while receiving full benefits.
