Hello! Prior to pandemic had transit account. Took early retirement buy out offer. Age 68 & no longer use account with Metra or CTA. Is there anyway to have the money taxed and pulled out of Ventra? They are telling me no.

Gosh, this is way out of my territory! So you deposited money into the card, and then it was invalidated because you retired?? And you can’t get the money out? That doesn’t seem right.
This is a pre-tax set aside benefit for employees. So it would be your employer who would refund the money! And you would have to pay tax on it. So start with your employer –and show them this item on my website!
