Protecting IRA
Should I move most of my funds to the Money Market fund? I have Ameriprise. No penalty and safer, predictable return? I’m 77 and don’t want to experience another big downturn. Thank you! Love you on wgn!

I don’t have a crystal ball. And I don’t know how you are invested, how soon you might need to use the money, and your “risk tolerance” (which is another way of saying “how upset you would be at losses.”
This is a way of saying, I just can’t give you advice blindly. If you’re worried, and the money is inside an IRA, you can just move a good portion of it into a money market fund. You can do that with one call — and don’t let yourself get talked out of it!
