pua benefits — extra $300??
After being eligible for PUA in Chicago since the beginning of the covid shutdown I did not receive the extra $300 this week like I believe I should have. My father in Kane county got an added $900 this week. What happened? Am I still going to receive my benefits?

IDES issued no press release or other info about how it is going about paying the extra $300. It just appeared in the log-in section of your claim — and in your account. So it’s anyone’s guess as to how and when they will pay. I have heard from people who received it — and they seem to be people with “traditional” unemployment vs PUA. But that’s just a guess on my part without enough data to verify that. I have asked the spokesperson for IDES for two week, and have had no response re specifics of this extra payment.
But remember this is money from the FEMA fund and will likely run out after 6 weeks anyway.
