Received IDES debit card for unknown person at my address
We received a benefit pre-loaded debit card from IDES for a person we don’t know at our home address. We also received a mailing for this person a couple weeks ago. We returned the mail with “no such person at this address”, but then this pre-loaded card shows up. Is this a person scamming the system or just a very inept IDES office? How can I tell if one of our SSNs was used? I checked our credit reports and all is well. Our street name is very unique so I don’t think is just a mis-spelling. Thanks!

Wow — that is scary. And I’ll bet you 100 to 1 that it is just the IDES system that is so messed up! Someone is probably waiting desperately for that card. Hang on to it, and I will give your email address to my contact at IDES –so maybe you will be contacted and help someone else with their issues!
