I am 70 years and 9 months old. When can I start taking the MRD from my IRA account?

Terry Says

You can take money out any time now, without paying a penalty. But you will pay ordinary income taxes on any withdrawals. You MUST start taking RMD’s in the year in which you reach age 72, since you turned 70-1/2 AFTER December 31, 2019.
