Retirement at 65 from Military
Hi Terry what are my insurance options if I retire at 62. My husband is retired military and now works for DOD he expects tor retire at that age as well which is 3 years for us. I will have 14 years in VHA

I’m not an expert at how military retirement benefits (Tricare) coordinate with retirement, but here’s a link to a very helpful site. I notice that it says if you retire early, before retiree benefits kick in, you can continue with your Tricare coverage. But please read the article and do your own questioning at your employee benefits department to get the most accurate answer.
