Ask Terry Questions Retirement fund

Retirement fund

Hi Terry,
I am 56 y/o and will retire at 60. My husband is younger than me and I will have health insurance through him until Medicare kicks in. I have most of my retirement in an IMRF account. 2 years ago I started putting money into a 403b plan through my employer. Here’s the caveat, I cannot draw on the IMRF until I am 62, and not sure about the 403b plan. Advice please!

Terry Says

Don’t retire at 60!  That’s my best advice.   At least, don’t retire until you have carefully thought out your retirement budget.   You have thought about health insurance — but you haven’t thought about income!  I think you need at least one meeting with a fee-only, FIDUCIARY financial advisor.  Find one here:  Pam Krueger Wealthramp – Terry Savage
