Ask Terry Questions Retirement next year

Retirement next year

By Terry Savage on June 20, 2025 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Hi Terry I am 67 years old . Thinking of retiring next year , last year I moved a good percentage of my money from a fidelity Ira to Edward jones. I see fees in the Edward’s jones prospectus that I did not expect , my advisor is a great guy but not sure if I should have remained with fidelity. This has caused my sleepless nights and anxiety. What are your thoughts of Edward Jones as a whole , I enjoyed the freedom to make my own moves in fidelity. Thanks

Terry Says

No wonder you’re not sleeping. Sure thing you’re paying too much in fees.

It’s always worth paying for good advice, but you want your incentives to be aligned with your advisor.
