Ask Terry Questions Retirement tax impact

Retirement tax impact

By Terry Savage on September 06, 2024 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I have about $2,050,000 saved and will be 64 shortly. I make around $290,000 with bonus. Given the tax rates will probably sunset in 2026 I am curious how to plan. I was not thinking of using Social for at least 3 years to get full retirement and I plan to retire in mid 2026. Should I convert 401k to Roth? Most of savings is 401k.

You are in the ideal position to meet with a financial planner WHO IS NOT TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING!!

You will be matched with a fee-only FIDUCIARY planner who can go over your entire situation. He/she will work with your estate planner and tax person (or supply them if you don’t already have a connection) so you can get everything done comprehensively.
