You may want to alert your readers on today’s column on RMD’s that some institutions mail their checks directly to you for mailing to the charity. I was surprised when my investment firm Vanguard follows this practice. Important to be aware of this to give
Yourself enough time before year end.

I wasn’t aware of that. So the check is made out to the charity, but sent to you first??
I’m surprised and I’ll ask Vanguard. But please respond to the email saying your “question is answered” and tell me if I interpreted this correctly. Thanks!
