Robinhood is a a tech based financial services company that led the way in offering zero-cost stock trading — causing other firms to follow.
It recently had some bad publicity — first from its trading platform which did not peform well in the huge market movements of March, and then from the fact that one young man who used its platform committed suicide after mistakenly thinking he had lost all his money and owed a small fortune. But that’s like blaming fast cars when young people drive them without any knowledge of how speed kills.
