Rollover

By Terry Savage on November 22, 2024 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I’m getting a pension from Illinois municipal retirement fund. I also did a volunteer contribution to a savings account where I have $80,000 in I’m wondering if I should take a $600 monthly income from that or take a rollover and where should I put it?

Is your “savings account” a pre-tax retirement account? If so, you’d want to do a rollover to keep it growing tax-deferred.
You need to find out the tax consequences of withdrawals from that account.

I think you need a Fee-Only FIDUCIARY advisor to look at the big picture for you — beyond just investments.
