Rollover

Retired 2 years Rolling over $210,000 401k held with Fidelity to another institution. Any thoughts on what to roll funds into? Annuity, TIPS, Stocks, Bonds? Always listen to you on John Williams show. Thank you.

Why would you move to another institution? Fidelity is the perfect place for your rollover.
Clearly you don’t understand the investment possibilities, though. If it’s INSIDE your IRA rollover, you could do TIPS through a mutual fund. But likely you should divide your IRA rollover into some basic categories — such as the S&P 500 stock index fund, a mid-term government bond fund (average maturity less than 10 years) and perhaps a money market fund.
The allocation depends on your age, and what other assets you have for retirement outside this rollover, so Ican’t give you specifics.
But if you roll to “another institution” you’re likely to get grabbed by an advisor who will charge fees and commissions for this advice, costing you far more than its worth!
