ROTH IRA and working part time.

By Terry Savage on January 06, 2025 |

I am age 72 and work part time. Is it possible to contribute to my ROTH IRA .
Thank you,

Terry Says

Yes, you can still contribute in 2024 up to the date your tax return is due — April 15th. You can contribute up to $8,000 if you earned that much. It can be a tax deduction, or you can make it a Roth IRA, which will not require distributions when you reach age 73.
And you can do it again for 2025, if you have earned income from work — again no more than you earn, up to the $8,000 limit.
