Saving for Retirement

By Terry Savage on June 29, 2022 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I don’t have an IRA saving how do I save money for my retirement? Can I do it through my bank?

Terry Says

Yes, you can go to your bank and open an Individual Retirement Account and add money to it regularly.
But depending on your age — and assuming you are under 60 — you have a better chance to make that money grow over the next decade if you call Fidelity at -800-FIDELITY and ask them to help you open an IRA account. You should have at least $2500 to start at Fidelity. Just tell them you want to invest your IRA in their Equity/Income Fund. That should do it. They will help you through the process; they’re very friendly. You can keep adding money regularly.
