Savings Bonds Series EE from Deceased parent

Hello. My father passed away in 2001 and he had these savings bonds. How and where do I go to cash them in? Also, they were issued in 2000. It states Interest Ceases 30 years from date. Do I need to wait 30 years to cash them in?
