Ask Terry Questions SBA Loan Fraud

SBA Loan Fraud

By Terry Savage on September 22, 2024 | Wild Card

Someone filled out an application for a SBA Loan and were approved and I assume they received the money now I am going thru the process of filing a fraud report with SBA This is not on my credit report and I am curious to know why And when I contacted social security they could not tell me the address that the notices were going to but it was not in the town I live, at least they told me that.

Whew — I don’t think you’ve done all you should. First, you should report this to the FBI — by calling 800- CALL-FBI. This is fraud.
Second, you should freeze all three of your credit reports — Read this:
https://www.terrysavage.com/identity-theft-update/ There are direct links to freeze your credit at all three bureaus in this article.

You don’t say how you realized someone received a fraudulent loan using your name. And I don’t see how Social Security comes into the picture. They would know absolutely nothing about an SBA loan, or notices regarding that.

Are you sure you have a full understanding of what happened to you? I’m going to suggest that you also file a report with your local police, giving details. And feel free to write back to the email you receive saying your question has been answered. I’m hoping you’re not in the midst of some other kind of scam. Do NOT give your info out to anyone other than the above legitimate agencies.
