Second stimulus payment for my parents and taxes. My dad passed on Dec. 16th, 2020.
We are filing my parents taxes as married filing jointly, but were not sure if they are both eligible for the second stimulus payment, since my dad passed on December 16th of 2020?
They originally went in to have their taxes done, but were told that they don’t make enough money, so they didn’t have to file. We are only filing, so that they can get the stimulus.

It’s definitely worth a try. This is a gray area, but the worst they can do is say no! File electronically and use their banking info for direct deposit.
