I heard on WGN radio there was a separate website for independent contractors to file for unemployment. Do you know that by chance. Thank you!

The main website is www.IDES.Illinois.gov. The sad part of this is that you must first be TURNED DOWN for traditional unemployment before you can access the PUA (self employed assistance) part of the site!
The entire process could take weeks! It is a sad commentary on Illinois government.
