Where can I get the best exchange rate and fees to send money internationally? I’m specifically looking to send cash to my expat son and his family who live in France.

However it does not comment on the exchange rates offered and that can be a hidden trap.
But actually, maybe it would be better to let your son help with this decision. Perhaps he has a U.S. credit card that does not charge transaction fees and has a good track record on exchange rates. Then you could just make a “payment” to that Visa or MC and it will show up as a credit, which he can use to spend in Euros?
Or perhaps, if the amount is large enough, just a wire transfer to his bank? Especially, if he still has a U.S. bank account.
