Series EE Savings Bond 05-07-2013
Ms. Savage I purchased a $50.00 series EE Bond on 2013. I surpised to see It’s only worth $50.80. Are the series EE bond still valid? Can it be transfered to my series I bond?

That bond is still earning interest. But you probably forgot that these old EE bonds were purchased at a DISCOUNT to the face value! The interest accumulated to the $50 face value and is still growing. Hang on to it!! Use other money to purchase Series I bonds (which are issued at face value).
